King Dambar Shah (Reign: approx. 1699-1708 B.S. = 1642-1651 A.D.)
Dambar Shah became the king of Gorkha succeeding Ram Shah, who was engaged no sooner in the battle against Tanahun.

King Dambar Shah also assisted to defend Patan with his elephants and army to fight against Pratap Malla, the contemporary King of Kantipur, because of the friendly relation with Patan which was established by his father.

Dambar Shah also built a room in Gorkha Palace known as ‘Dambar Kotha’. The manuscripts also mention about his special efforts to protect forests during his reign.
