King Prithvi Pati Shah (Reign: approx. 1734-1773 B.S. = 1677-1716 A.D.)
Prithvi Pati Shah ascended the throne of Gorkha after the demise of his father. He remained the longest reigning monarch of all the Kings of Gorkha but full of struggle. Time and again, he had to resist the attacks from Lamjung and other states which were occupied by Gorkha. Prithvi Pati Shah’s statue is to be found on a pillar beneath the Rameshwar Mahadev Than in Gorkha.
