The Kumari of Patan
„Kumari“, die lebende Göttin ist eine hinduistische Inkarnation der Göttin Taleju, eine Form der Göttin Durga, von Parvati, der Gemahlin des Gottes Shiva. Nur an hohen Feiertagen darf sie ihren Tempel “Hakku Bahal” in Patan verlassen. Dabei darf sie den Straßenboden nicht berühren und wird zu dem Prozessionswagen getragen.
