Rudra Shah was enthroned as the King of Gorkha after the death o Krishna Shah.

He had to save the state from the attack of Lamjung and improvised the Gorkha troops as the best fighting troops by sending them to fight against Makwanpur and other states.

He did build the steps from Hanuman Bhanjyang to ease the people who came to and fro to the palace.
