Brief von König Rana Bahadur Shah (1777-1799)

In those days mail was carried by postally appointed runners.
The mail of the monarch was of primary importance.

The inscription of the seal:

“SRI NATHASYA NAYAB SRI 5 MAHARAJE RANA BAHADUR SHAH BAHADOOR SAMA SHER JUNG”

The adress is written in Persian language which was the official diplomatic language of the British East India Company at the time.
